Life interrupted….

I posted this on my personal blog but felt like I might get more of a response here. Please join me in helping (even if it’s small)- prayers, donations, any way you can.

I spent all last week thinking about this sweet family. The news of NieNie and Christian’s plane crash has been all over Blogville and I can’t get it out of my head. Stephanie and Christian miraculously survived but are in critical condition and will take months to recover. They have 4 of the cutest small little kiddos that I’m sure are missing their parents. Sadly, the pilot did not survive. My uncle died in a small plane crash a little over 5 years ago so it hits a little close to home for me.
Stephanie inspired my silhouettes that I love. I have always been a fan from afar (since I don’t know her in real life). She’s sassy and vintagey and it’s super duper clear that she adores her husband and family. There have been people from all over the world reaching out to help. I can’t help but think that I need to do something too. I will be participating in Design Mom’s silent auction. I have my ideas but I’ll announce what I’m doing exactly on Thursday. I have been so inspired by all of the support for their family. There are all types of ideas floating around. I especially love the balloon lift off Saturday night. If you are looking for ways to help, go here. And if you don’t want to host a silent auction, you could always bid on one (hint, hint). And her big sis CJane is keeping everyone in the loop here.
And there is now a website to visit. It’s full of info and ways to help.

Hi- I'm Mique (as in Mickey). I started 30days as an idea file a few years ago. After three years and hundreds of ideas, I now realize that I'll never check them all off my list. When I'm not creating, I love spending time with family and friends and long drives, especially if they end at the beach.

I am so sorry to hear about this family. I don’t know anything about them but I can see that it has touched you. I will definitely be praying.
