Thanks and Giving
Super excited today. This afternoon I will be at a So You Think You Can Dance taping (one of the many bonuses of living in the LA area). While I am there, you can go here and cast your vote for So You Think You're Crafty. ;) This week's theme is GREEN- can you spot what I created? I'd love to hear your guesses. I hope to make it through this week so you can see what I created for next week (not looking so good so far- yikes!). I actually made a craft for next week's theme on accident and then had to make another one for this week- oops! Fingers crossed.
Here's what I came up with for last week's "leaves" challenge. Seriously simple, but a cute little headband for the fall.
Onto other stuff. Like Thanksgiving centered projects. WAY late on this post. But you still have a week and a half to get to them. Or stash them away for next year.
Here's what I did a couple of years ago when we hosted at my house. I had my kids make placemats for all the guests displaying turkey handprints (3 turkeys above = my 3 kids hands) and their names.
I also had them decorate lunch bags for everyone.I passed out paper and had everyone write what they were grateful for from that person. Then we rotated the bags. These were really simple projects but made our Thanksgiving just a little more meaningful. We ate yummy food and made some great memories.
Onto other ideas:

Will you be doing a tutorial for the headband, I voted for you and love it!!
The headband is so cute! And I love that Thanksgiving thankful jar! I've been making FAR TOO MANY wreaths lately I'm pretty sure that's all people think I blog about!
Thanks for the links!
Rachel
I LOVE the headband you did for last week. It is so hard to vote each week because there are so many I LOVE!! I hope you continue to stay in the compition too. There are some more fun ones this week.
I really loved the headband! I think I voted for it!! I wonder what your project is this week...hope you stick around!
I responded to your Facebook page, but not sure if that worked. I LOVED the headband and think it should have won. Would you post a tutorial for all those who love you so (me)?
I seriously adore the headband! So much that I wrote a blog post about it! I really hope you'll be posting a tutorial! So cute.
okay seriously i became obsessed with the headband the MINUTE i saw it! i can NOT wait till you post the tutorial because i want to make one for my daughter...or like a million of them in different colors!!!
I swear it is like you know exactly what project I was thinking of doing and then you post a link for it!!! =) As for the "Green" craft challange I think you did the lime green necklace. Can't wait to see =) Thanks
Congrats' again for still being among the best 8! It's really becoming difficult to vote for just one project, because everything is so great: I chose the green clutch/wallet, but I really hesitated with the Xmas tree frame, the fused plastic bags & the green necklace!
Good luck anyway!
Here's a link to my tutorial for a Thanksgiving garland that is super easy to make. http://www.simplymodernmom.com/2009/11/thanksgiving-garland/
Oh my gosh, I love your name! Mine is Miquelyn as in Mikelyn but I'll do it as Miq for Mike haha anyway, just thought I'd comment.
