Craft Book Review 6

This time around the library was good to me. ;)
All of the books that I’ve recently checked out have been winners.

200 Sewing Tips, Techniques & Trade Secrets:
An Indispensable Compendium of Technical
Know-How and Troubleshooting Tips

Don’t let the long name fool ya, there are really great, usable tips in this book. I love the look and feel of it. There are several things in there that I went, “hmmm I didn’t know that.” (of course, I am no expert so that isn’t surprising ;).

This is another great reference book. Lately it seems like there are so many that would be great for people just getting into sewing. It lays it all out for someone who has never stepped up to a sewing machine.

Craft Challenge: Dozens of Ways to Repurpose a Tea Towel

I love the feel of this book. It’s vintage-y feel of it. All the projects are so cute and there’s something for everyone. ;) It also doesn’t hurt that it has some embroidery in it too (one of my loves).

Photojojo!: Insanely Great Photo Projects and DIY Ideas
Although I enjoy Photojojo, I have to admit I didn’t have too high of expectations of their book. To my surprise, I love it! It has really fun, unique and quirky ideas in there. All photography related but doable for anyone.

Mique
Hi- I'm Mique (as in Mickey). I started 30days as an idea file a few years ago. After three years and hundreds of ideas, I now realize that I'll never check them all off my list. When I'm not creating, I love spending time with family and friends and long drives, especially if they end at the beach.

Thanks for posting your reviews. I've checked out a lot of books you've posted and I just put two more on hold today. Plus, I put Craft Challenge: Dozens of Ways to Repurpose a Pillow Case on hold. I'm still waiting for One Yard Wonders. I put it on hold three months ago and I'm currently number 74 for 11 copies. I might have to go out and buy it!

I love craft books — thanks for the reviews. While searching for the "tea towel" book, I found one for re-purposing pillowcases too! :D
