Monster Bash Party Ideas

Hi friends! Michelle here again from I DO invitations by michelle sharing some fun tips and tricks from my recent Monster Bash shoot. Planning a party does not mean you have to break the bank. I have to admit, I do have quite the party decor stash in my basement compared to most but it’s all about being smart and planning ahead. The tissue poms {seen on the wall} I’ve used at four other parties and they are still in great condition so don’t throw those little cuties away!

Once you have a party theme nailed down take advantage of coupons and discount codes. Most shops will offer discounts on their blogs or facebook so always be in the lookout. I purchased the beautiful custom tassel garland with a discount code from The Flair Exchange.

Most of the items you see I already had stored away from past parties, but I did find the four polka dot and striped planters at Michael’s on clearance for only $.99. How can you pass that up and they’ll for sure be used again :) I added an eyeball on these little monster looking squishy balls I found in the Target dollar aisle.

Hobby Lobby has these fun new chevron frames in aqua and orange and I couldn’t resist! I got it for 50% off, added some googly eyes (also bought from Hobby Lobby) and added some tissue fringe from Shop Sweet Lulu around the edge to make a fun little chevron looking monster. I plan on using the frame for an upcoming Halloween shoot.

I found these cute little furry pom balls in the Target dollar aisle. That aisle is a MUST when planning a party.

You can purchase these Monster Bash party printables in my etsy shop. Perfect party theme for both girls and boys of all ages. So…what is your favorite part from this shoot? I hope I gave you some inspiration to throw a party using things you already have or that you can DIY :)
