This Week’s Pity Party: Most Unappreciated Post Link Up

Happy Friday! This week for the link up (thanks to Melissa from Polka Dot Chair for the idea!), it’s Your Most Unappreciated Post.

Last week was so much fun reading through all the comments and finding out what you look forward to and why you chose your posts as your “Reader’s Choice.”  Thanks for taking the time to visit and interact.  I also now have a huge list of ideas for themes of what to host.  I’ll still throw out basic weeks with no theme here or there but I love where this is headed and hope you do too!  Curious how the Pity Party got started?  Visit my link up page with a whole list of other parties to link up to.
Most Unappreciated Post Link Up

Link up your most unappreciated post. This is a post that you put a lot of time into or one that you are super proud of…but then you hear crickets.  Or you just feel like it wasn’t appreciated.  It can be any category or topic.  That’s your call.  And then leave a comment for why you linked it up.

I’ve been blogging for a looooong time so I had a lot of content to choose from.  You can really see by the photography how old some of these posts are.   They might not be the best composed, but I love these ideas:
30daysblog's Most Unappreciated Posts Link Up

I have two friends with new(ish) link ups that are fun. Stop by Leigh Anne from Your Homebased Mom’s Finding the Pretty & Delicious Link Up and Mariel from Or So She Says’ Your Great Idea Link Up- both tomorrow!
—–> Up next week:  Craft Fail.  I love the idea of linking up projects and ideas that didn’t quite go as planned.  Because we all have those, right?  Just me?  Hope not.  If you haven’t posted one yet, I dare you to share sometime in the next week.

Hi- I'm Mique (as in Mickey). I started 30days as an idea file a few years ago. After three years and hundreds of ideas, I now realize that I'll never check them all off my list. When I'm not creating, I love spending time with family and friends and long drives, especially if they end at the beach.

This is a fun one! I had a hard time deciding…so I went to my blog stats to check out which of my favorite posts had low page views, and my post on my “Craftgawker Rejections” post was one of them!

A lot has changed since I wrote that post – - my photography has become more craftgawker-friendly, but also, those rejections don’t hurt as much. It’s just part of the game! Still, it was a cathartic experience to write that post…and I’m glad I did. It marks a part of my journey as a d.i.y. blogger.

Mique, I love the under-appreciated posts you shared…especially your “Come Away with Me” map. My husband LOVES maps…I might have to make him one!

Oh well, I remember how upset I was when my Petticoat tutorial didn’t get as much appreciation as I had wished for and some other posts I personally didn’t like as much were clicked at like crazy!

I loved this turkey garden flag I made around thanksgiving, I thought it would get a lot more response. Maybe I posted it too close to Thanksgiving and people were already moving into Christmas? LOL. Thanks for hosting a fun party that’s something different from all the rest!!

Welp it’s a recent post. But though I’ve linked it up many many places. No one seems interested in it. That might be casue it’s a Valentine thing posts AFTER Valentine’s. *lol* Ah well.

I posted my Turkey Cranberry Pizza Supreme because I thought it was a great way to use up Thanksgiving leftovers. Everybody who tried it seemed to like it, and I even had someone ask me to make their family one for Christmas! I know it has brussels sprouts, which people seem to have a love/hate relationship with. But heck, it has bacon, and everybody LOVES bacon! Still, nothing, nada, zip, zilch, ha! Thanks for this great idea!

Thanks for hosting Mique! I’ve posted one of our early attempts to talk about cutting back on sugar. It was early in the game, so it’s a bit longer than our current efforts, but I was proud of it at the time. Fun linky idea, thanks!

Hi, Mique! I chose a post I wrote about taking annual family photos through the years. Not always the best photography but we were creative with what we wore and the poses we discovered. Of course, this post doesn’t include all the crazy outtakes that a family of 7 has to have! Regardless, I think more families should make the effort to get photos taken (none of ours were by a professional) because our families and lives change so quickly!

I thought this chicken recipe was awesome! I don’t know if it was the day I posted or what, but it got zero response!
Thanks for the link-up! Looking forward to spreading the love!

If I hadn’t deleted every single picture off my blog last night, I’d have more to choose from :) I had a really popular calendar post so I followed it up with a more detailed post, was really excited and chirp…chirp…chirp…lol! Great party theme idea, so FUN!

This is such a great idea!! I added my Chocolate Cake post…I thought it was going to be such a hit, but there’s just silence…I can’t figure it out! hee hee
    Have a great weekend!

These link ups are so fun! I linked up my organized laundry space. It took me months and months to come up with the best plan for our little storage space in the laundry room (which is also used for most of my craft storage as well). I was so proud lol!

I love writing humor. Unfortunately, my readers seem to come to the Sitcom for the tutorials more than the humor. So my humor posts often hear crickets. This is one of my favorites- posted twice. The first time to crickets; a year or so later to a few comments. I still love it, though. It makes me smile.

This is a great idea! There are a bunch! But I’m going to choose on of the most recent ones. I’m still baffled how one post that I think is ok gets pinned 25,000. And some of the ones I am most proud of are pinned 25.

Hi Mique, I linked up a post/tutorial I made to change up the look of a peasant dress. It was how to had a split neck with ties instead of elastic. I really thought it was a great way to change up the look, and my sewing readers would be interested, but the post didn’t get much love. I am not sure if it was because I didn’t photograph the split neck feature well enough. (It was hard to capture) or if I didn’t market it the right way…

Great idea for a link up!! I spent a long time on my post about small changes we can make to be greener, and it didn’t get anywhere near as many views as I was hoping for! Womp woommmpp :(

I’m loving your themes! With 3 years of blogging under my belt, there were many under appreciated projects to choose from (lol!). It took me a while to figure out how to promote them, and discover the wonderful world of link parties. Thanks so much for hosting!

What a great idea! It was interesting to me to go back and look over the ‘not so popular’ posts. This is actually one of my very early posts and though the topic was pertinent to me…it surely wouldn’t attract readers. Now that I have a few more readers it could get some interest…maybe. I’m still guessing not. What do you think?

Thank you so very much for posting this linky! I find that blogging is amazing and I love it but at times, I do wonder why nobody is reading some of my favorite posts! I am loving this one – do you do it weekly? Such amazing ideas out there! AS always, thank you! Jessica
