This time of year is my favorite. Â Have I mentioned that a time or two? Â It’s finally cooling down and we can think about boots, sweaters and apple cider. Â Mmmmm. Â So why not add a little extra something to the apple cider? Â Like Caramels on a Stick. Â Stick with me here..

When I put all the ingredients in my bowl they looked like this:
And after heating for a bit, it started to take shape:
To turn caramels into “Caramel on a Stick” – I used this jello mold and  wooden spoons.  After the bowl came out of the microwave, I used a measuring cup with a spout to pour into the jello mold.  (At first I tried to pour it in and it was a mess.  Don’t do that. Trust me.)  I used a gold pen to write the word caramel on the wooden spoons to be able to deliver as gifts for the holidays.  Then stick them into the middle of the caramel and hold them upright for a bit.  You can put the jello mold full of caramels into the fridge to firm it up a bit.
The other option is once the caramel comes out of the microwave, you can swirl the wooden spoons into it. Â Either way, the idea is that you will use these caramel spoons to mix into hot apple cider. Â It will give the perfect caramel taste to your drink. Â
To package this up, use clear mini treat bags. Â
I found the cutest vintage egg basket at an antique store and knew it’d be perfect for this gift. Â Add in a cute mug, apple cider packets and your caramels on a stick.
Last year’s Hot Cocoa on a Stick inspired me to create this gift. Â Most people loooooove chocolate. Â But I prefer vanilla and caramel any day. Â So I thought Caramels on a Stick would fit the bill for people like me. Â Or anyone! Â If you’re more of a chocolate person, visit this post:
