I am sorry that the situation became so ugly. I love your blog. I never do the give aways, because as you can note for the date, I am way behind on my Reader. And I know it is disheartening that so many people feel they have to be mean, versus just asking for an explination or just getting over it. I think you do a fabulous job. I hope you have a warm and fuzzy day (or a cool and smooth day, depending).

I did a giveaway with you when I first was starting out my business, and when you first started doing giveaways. It was such a great experience and loved working with you. Everything ran smoothly and I received so much traffic and exposure from doing so!

I love checking in on your blog and seeing all the great ideas from you and all over the internet. I am glad this whole thing didn't stop you from running your great blog.

As a business owner I am very grateful when blogs do giveaways. I wouldn't give it up. I would delete the rude people out there.

That is so unfortunate that people act the way that they do and don't have the guts to claim their comments.
Just know that for every one person who's a jerk, there are tons more who love what you do here and appreciate all your generosity.

I also entered the giveaway but missed Mckmama's giveaway as I didn't check her blog in time. It just sounds like someone is full of sour grapes and s/he (or they) have to ruin something for so many other people. You and Rachel did nothing wrong. Honestly, it sounds like someone (or a few people) really just are jealous of others. It was a free giveaway for goodness sake. :(

Tomorrow is a new day and I hope you can wake up and smile. Just move on from people like this, it is the ultimate revenge.

I think "tina" meant the FTC's guidelines, not FCC. There are some new guidelines for bloggers regarding advertising and product review and disclosing any conflict of interest. As far as I can tell, you clarified that she is a sponsor and you are hosting a giveaway from her, so you did nothing wrong and do not need to be emailing answers to anybody.

Sorry about the bad and the ugly. Just remember, those negative commentors are few and far between. For every one person on a power trip, you have a 100 who understand your intentions and support your purpose.

I am so sorry! I entered earlier today, then saw the Twitter comments from you and VP and had to come back & look. All I could think was," seriously??". As a reader and someone who entered the contest, I in no way felt mislead or "tricked"! It was more along the lines of,"Woo-Hoo! These are soo cute! What a great contest and a nice thing to do!"

I am very sorry for what happened. I know about it all though I never posted or sent emails. You and Rachel got caught in the crossfire and neither of you should have been put through it. Many people, myself included, have some issues with the other person who was doing the giveaway, and in their overzealous attempt to right what they perceived as a wrong, they stepped on innocent people such as you and Rachel. I believe the people who emailed and posted know that you are a trustworthy and caring blogger who was trying to help a friend. I know they know that Rachel is also a very good and trustworthy person. I think we learned that we need to be more careful with our actions and think about who we might be hurting/affecting before we act.
