Over the last little bit I’ve shared our family’s journey with getting new flooring. Â I knew that it’d be a big undertaking but didn’t realize just how much it’d involve. Â I hope by sharing our experience, it might help make it just a little easier for those looking to update in their home. Â Today I give you — a new flooring checklist printable.
This is a list that I wish I had when I started. Â It would’ve helped me see everything on one little sheet of paper and stay organized. Â Remember how my house looked before and after? Â Let’s recap, shall we?
Before:
After:
And my original post talked about saving your sanity when buying new carpet:
It has now been a few months and I have to say we are all still loving what we picked out. Â We’ve had some normal family situations (hello spilled drink on the carpet! Ugh) Â and the Mohawk SmartStrand has lived up to its name. Â It’s easy to clean up and take care of. Â Every time it’s vacuumed it sparkles. Â I like the colors we picked out because it blends well with our decor. Â It also is no big deal if there is a string or random something on the floor, where with our other carpet you could see every little thing. Â Don’t worry, we still vacuum and take care of it, but it’s much more manageable. Â Â Check out your local Mohawk retailer to find the right fit for you and your family.
I took the tips from my other posts to create this checklist to make a little less intimidating for people looking into getting new flooring.
Download your flooring checklist: filled in or blank. Â For personal use only. Â Thanks!

This is a great flooring checklist, especially since I want to update the floors in our bathrooms in 2015. They really need to be updated.
