Are there any words more annoying than “I’M BORED!” in the middle of summer? I literally can’t remember the last time I was bored (always having a to do list a mile long helps with this) and hearing those words just gets under my skin! Are you the same way? I also am not the type to sit and entertain my kids but I am all for finding ways to enable them to entertain themselves. When my kids were small I would stock up on inexpensive dollar store items that I would keep in a basket to pull out when I was at the end of my pitiful rope. Today I wanted to share something that I would have LOVED to have had in my little basket of tricks! A summer boredom buster… bubble games!
I created a little tag (you can download it HERE) that you can easily attach to a bottle of bubbles (or just have on hand) with lots of different ways your kids can play with bubbles! Sometimes they just need a little nudge to get their imaginations going and then they will come up with their own games. Luckily bubbles are totally inexpensive and kids of all ages love them!
My 9 year old was so excited when she saw I had bought some bubbles… I guess it had been a while since we had any in the house! :) She loved trying out all of the game ideas and they entertained her and her cousin for a good 2 hours one day. Success!
