Servings: 30 cookies
- 1/2 c butter (1 stick) at room temp
- 3/4 c molasses
- 1 egg
- 3 c flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 c brown sugar
- 2 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1/4 tsp cloves
Cream butter, molasses and egg together.
Add remaining dry ingredients and mix well.
Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour.
On a floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4".
Using cookie cutters, cut out shapes and place on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
