- 2 lbs red potatoes washed and cut into cubes
- 4 tbsp butter
- ½ c sour cream
- ¼ c heavy cream (milk can be substituted as well - I prefer cream)
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 ½ tsp salt

Grease slow cooker with butter or cooking spray.
Add chopped potatoes and cook on high for 3 hours on low or 6 hours (time may vary depending on type of slow cooker).
After potatoes are cooked (should be able to smash them with your fork easily), add in butter, sour cream, cream, garlic, salt and pepper.
Use a hand mixer to mash potatoes and other ingredients.
