Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease 9x13 pan and set aside.
Cook pasta according to directions.
While pasta is cooking, add 2 tbsp of olive oil to skillet over medium heat.
Add chopped onion to skillet and cook for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add garlic to onions and cook for another minute.
Add ground beef to onion and garlic mix.
When beef is cooked through, add Italian herbs.
Stir in 1 c spaghetti sauce and remove from the stove and set aside.
In a bowl combine beaten egg, cottage cheese, and 1 c mozzarella cheese and mix well.
Add cheese mix to beef mix.
Spread remaining 1 c of spaghetti sauce on bottom of greased 9x13 pan.
Spoon filling into each shell and place in pan.
Sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese over top of arranged shells.
Bake in oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbly.
