Hi everyone! Summer from Elevate-Everyday here again and I have a super fun and easy activity that your kiddos are going to LOVE! If your kids are anything like mine, they are always wanting to help out in the kitchen. I usually just hand them the beaters loaded up with batter and send them on their merry way. When I was at Joann’s the other day with my middle guy he saw the Push Pop containers and begged me to bring them home. These were so easy to use that I had my husband help the kids make them while I “supervised” and took photos.
Here is what you are going to need from the store.
Sprinkles, 1 Can of Frosting, Pan of Brownies (you can grab a pan from the bakery section of your store to make it a no bake activity), Push Pops and a Pastry Bag with a tip or Ziplock with a corner cut off.
Use your Push Pop like a cookie cutter and punch little circles out of your pan of brownies.
Place a circle brownie in the Push Pop and push it down to the bottom. We used a mini pastry shaper and it worked perfectly.
Add a layer of frosting.
Top with sprinkles.
Place another brownie on top of the sprinkle layer and top with another frosting layer.
Top that with more sprinkles and repeat until your Pop is filled.
Obviously lick fingers clean at this point.
Top with a lid and you are all set!
The kids just loved being such a big part of putting these together and it was pretty much stress free because they literally could NOT mess it up! You could make these little pops so many different ways. You could use different flavor cakes and cookies and different flavors of frosting. You could even use sprinkles in fun shapes for Holidays. These would be a huge hit at any party! They even make a great way to brighten someone’s day. I created this printable tag that works for any day of the week, any holiday, any occasion.
