If you liked my last banana bread, I’m pretty sure you’ll be a fan of this chocolate chip banana bread as well. This one includes sour cream and chocolate chips. It’s so moist and delicious!
It’s easy and quick to prep…the hard part is waiting for it to bake. It’s worth the wait! My family LOVES chocolate (me? not so much) so they were so happy to have chocolate chips in this loaf of bread.

Wow! Just wow! Made late last night and enjoyed this morning for breakfast. Didn’t use chips, not a favorite with my boys. Who would have thought a bread with no oil could be so moist? And so fast to make! I did add a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg for our taste but this is a DEFINITE keeper! Thanks, keep on creating…you’re good at it!

Did not have sour cream so used cream cheese instead and put half chocolate and half white chocolate chips. It came out good and my daughter liked it.

Just took these, made 5 wee loaf pans, out of the oven and could not resist cutting an end off for a taste. This is officially the best banana bread I have ever made. I am keeping this recipe! Thank you for posting! Grandma

Recipe turned out great! Very rich and deliciously decadent. I substituted golden yellow brown sugar for white sugar, added and extra tsp of vanilla and used one cup of chocolate chips , which was a bit too much. Next time I will try half a cup. I used 2.5 overripe bananas, which was a bit more than one cup. I baked 4 mini loaves instead of one big one for one hour and they were all perfect inside. I also sprinkled a tiny but of sugar over the top of each loaf to give each one a slight sweet crust on top. I was very pleased with the result. Great recipe!

My daughter tried to make the choc chip sour cream banana bread but it turned out dense. The inside looked liked it was doughy and uncooked. I even took it out of the pan and cooked it longer. Any suggestions what happened?

It workd beautifully! The house smelled incredible as it baked!! I had a huge slice as the perfect companion to my morning coffee… and I brought the rest in for the girls at work. It was easy, quick clean up and flawless results. I WILL make it again!
