This time last year I was determined to lose weight. I was not alone. Apparently 38% of people that make new years resolutions put weight loss as their number one goal! I shared my food journal – feel free to download it!
If weight loss is on your radar, here are some things that I love and that have helped me:
Favorite recipe sites that I refer to:
- Skinny Taste is my #1 for low cal recipes
- Recipe Girl – she has low carb, low fat, etc categories
- Our Best Bites has a healthy meals section too!
Favorite weight loss type of apps on my phone (these are free):
Other fun printables:
- Healthy Lifestyle Goals from Baca Creative
- Eat Seasonably Calendar from Accomac Inn
Come back tomorrow for an opposite kind of post-
if weight loss is NOT your goal this year. Or just because…. ;)
Feel free to share links of your favorites- I’d love to add more to my list!
Weight loss is definitely one of my goals for this year. It is always a struggle because my husband has a crazy fast metabolism and so eats a ton. I seem to unconsciously end up eating a similar amount at meals. Thanks for sharing these resources!
oh weight loss, weight loss….
Love this! Thanks for sharing! I’ll be tuning in tomorrow too though! ;) lol
I like using the Spark People website for tracking food and exercise. They have forums, too, Lots of helpful articles. Sparkpeople also has apps for smartphones.
I’ve been trying to find some blogs for health and fitness that will not fill my mailbox with “buy me” things. Any suggestions?
I seriously need that food checklist……seriously.
Lizy- I think it’d be hard surrounded by all those pretty cookies all the time!! I’d weigh 400 lbs by now. ;)
Awesome, thanks!! Weight loss is definitely on my resolution list this year, for me and husband. I just wrote about my resolutions here: http://www.honeybearlane.com/2012/01/words-for-2012-health-frugality-and-family.html
And you can follow my journey of weight loss as I share updates each Wednesday (weigh-in Wednesday.) It would be fun to have a blogging weight loss buddy for encouragement! :) Good luck to us both!
I recommend wholefoodmommies.com. Great whole food recipes. The key is to stop eating all the processed food, and preservatives.
