Merry Matchboxes – Advent Calendar

Christmas was the most anticipated time of the year for me when I was a child. The music, food, decorations and magic of the season made my heart sing! I never had an advent calendar as a child, but became aware of them when I had my own children. I thought it would a fun tradition to add to our family’s activities. Something like Etsy was not around when my daughters were little, so I bought a cute one that I saw in a magazine and our family enjoyed it! Several years later, when my sister had her boys, I decided I wanted to make an advent calendar for them. I did some research and saw the many different ways matchboxes where used to make advent calendars. I found them to be very clever and came up with my own version. It was a great success for my nephews, so I decided to make and sell them! The magic continues!
