It’s about that time to start pulling out the Easter stuff. What do you do for Easter decorations? We have a fun idea for you today –
It’s Emma again from Crafting{E}. Can you believe it’s almost Easter?? It is absolutely insane to me how fast this year is going!
Out of curiosity: do you decorate your house for the holidays? I know not everyone does for every holidays, but one of my favorite memories as a child was decorating the house for every single holiday.
There is just something so exciting and fun about making even the little holidays special. Isn’t this Easter Bunny decor piece just adorable?? I think it is so fun and I love how it turned out!
I love how rustic and distressed the bunny looks. The great thing about this project is that you probably either already have the materials or can get them for a super inexpensive price.
Aren’t the ears so cute? I love the look of the white tulle wrapped around the bunny. I love the little bow at the top too!
MATERIALS:
- block or wood (mine was about 5 inches tall)
- White tulle
- pink and black acrylic paint
- white spray paint
- wooden door knob
- Pink ribbon
DIRECTIONS:
- Spray paint your block of wood white. You may need several coats to get the desired color.
- Allow the block of wood to dry. While it’s drying paint the wooden doorknob with pink acrylic paint.
- Use the black paint to paint a face onto the bunny. Make sure to leave a place for the nose.
- Glue the wooden knob onto the place you left for the nose
- Wrap a long piece of tulle around the rabbit and tie it at the top with the pink ribbon. Trim the top pieces of the tulle so they look like ears
