Easter Desserts

Not only do I look forward to Easter to celebrate the Savior, but I also can’t wait to make treats and enjoy a big ol’ family dinner.  These treats are cute, fun and delicious at the same time.  The best part about them is that they only require a few ingredients and come together super fast.

How to make bird’s nests:

An easy dessert idea to tackle, this recipe would be great for kids to help.  And you know I’m all about kids cooking with you! Here’s how they come together:

  1. Mix together peanut butter and butterscotch chips over low heat.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in Chow Mein noodles.
  3. Put in muffin tin and let cool slightly before adding mini Cadbury eggs.

Tip for getting bird’s nest out of muffin tin:

How to get bird's nests out of muffin tin

Liners can be used to easily pull the bird’s nests out of a muffin tin. But if you don’t have liners, you can use a big spoon and run it around the inside of each nest to them up so you don’t break them apart. Because they are fragile until solid, they will crumble if you’re not careful at first.

How long will Bird’s Nests last?

If stored in an airtight container, bird’s nests can last for up to five days so they can be made ahead to enjoy for Easter!
