When I found this We Can Do Hard Things sign from Barn Owl Primitives, I fell off my chair. It was the perfect reminder that I needed in my life. Although I mostly share happy stuff on 30days, often times I feel overwhelmed with challenges. I knew that I needed to have this sign to remind me that WE CAN DO HARD THINGS.
I received a package from Kristi and found these cards:
The little details get me every time. Her logo, card, thank you, etc- perfect.
And then I unwrapped the sign and I said “OH MY GOSH” probably 100 times.
It’s even more perfect in real life. 
My one and only dilemma? Where do I put it?
I want one in every room of my house. Seriously.
It’s beautifully hand painted and distressed. I’m in love.

Wow…just stumbled across your blog tonight and have been on it for HOURS!! Love what you do! I checked out Barn Owl Primitives and LOVE her too!! It’s hard to choose a favorite quote because they’re all just perfect but for the current time in my life my favorite is Strength of My Love ~ “No one else will ever know the strength of my love for you. Afterall, you’re the only one who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside.” I have a new baby girl…3 months old. I LOVE BOP!! They are the most adorable signs!! I have been wanting one for a long time!! I would love one that say “Keep Calm & Carry On” I tend to overthink and get anxious about things, this sign would remind me that I need to be calm and just move on!!

My fave Barn Owl Primitives sign is “our nest” because it’s simple and all encompassing. We are currently 30 weeks pregnant and are trying to finish our hardwood restoration and overall home update in a frantic state. If we won, I’d probably put it in our little girl’s nursery for her arrival in 10 weeks or on the front door because that could be very welcoming too :)

I’ve been a fan of Kristi for a while but have yet to purchase a sign…I know I know… but my favorites are the new 4th of July sign, the Strength of my love, and I just saw the Twinkle Twinkle little star one that would go perfect in my daughter’s room as that is the song I sing 17 times a night to her…
and if I could make a sign for myself I would do “I cannot do it all”. Not meaning that I CAN’T but I SHOULDN’T try to take on every single blog project that I see, AND work from home AND be a good wife and mother…. :)

I love the Thomas Edison Quote re: Opportunity…in fact, I posted it on my FB page I like it so much. But, if I’m to have one hanging in my home it would be the “You are my Sunshine. My only Sunshine. etc.” When my youngest was in the hospital for 5 days, as an infant, I used to sing that song to him. He’s running around the house today a happy healthy 2.5 year old.

I love these signs. I keep telling myself that I”m going to attempt to make one myself but I just don’t know that if it will come out nearly as beautiful as the ones in their shop. My favorite saying is the whimsical family rules however my family is living on the quote from Dave Ramesy that says “Live like noone else so that latter you can live like noone else.” It would be a tough call.

Oh I lOve the “We can do hard things” sign. I’m trying to teach that to my girls. Im training for a triathlon, so I might need to remind myself, too. I love all the signs! Wow! I’ve spent forever in her shop. If I had to pick just one, probably the You are my Sunshine in yellow. I’ve sang that to my 3 kids since their birth and it has such special meaning to us. I love it!

I’d have a really hard time choosing between the “You are my sunshine” sign and the “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” sign. The latter is currently my little boy’s favorite song, but the first was the only song that would calm him when he was a fussy baby. I just hope I HAVE to make the choice! :)

Oh, I love the sign of ‘You Are My Sunshine’ – the whole song. I often sing it to my grandchildren when they’re little and they love it! It’s adorable!

I LOVE my girl over at BOP…I have several custom signs from her, and she ALWAYS delivers!!! I love “our nest,” and “we can do hard things.” I also have a custom, “what happens in the parlor stays in the parlor,” about my time milking on a Grade A Goat Dairy.
My DREAM sign has a bit of profanity in it (GASP!) but heck, I’ll post it anyway…it is a nod to my hobby of baking cakes in my kitchen..it would read, “I bake cakes, m—–f—–!” Sorry if that offends…You asked, I told!!!

All of these signs are simply gorgeous. If I was the lucky winner (fingers AND toes crossed) I would LOVE a sign that said “Keep Calm and Have a Cookie” but I would not be sad to have any one of those signs!
I have been wishing for a sign from BOP forever…but every time I decide I change my mind and want a different one. I want them all! You are my sunshine was the first I started coveting and I like family rules too.

I love words, so words on signs are great! I have only recently seen the “Keep Calm and carry on” and I love it but, after seeing “We can do hard things” that one wins my vote. I tell my youngest son that all the time!

I have been struggling with fertility for the past 2 years, and jsut found out a week ago that I am pregnant with a long waited baby #2!!! As for my favorite quote, I didn’t see it. It isn’t widely known, except in my family.
At age 3 after learning his shapes, I told my (now almost 15 yr old) son that I ‘loved him with all my heart’. His little mind expanded to realize that was a shape and he quickly replied with “I love you with all my Triangles”
It is a quick way for him to get what he wants, even now, to say that. It melts my heart every time.
