There are a lot of ways to make corn. This post is all about how to make corn on the cob in the air fryer! It’s fast, easy and tastes great.
Even though I loooove oven baked corn on the cob , I wanted to try out using my air fryer. If you know how an air fryer works, you know why everything takes so much less time to cook. It also makes things crispy on the outside, while still cooked on the inside. Making corn in the air fryer only takes about 10 minutes from start to finish! Let’s do this –
Air Fryer Corn on the Cob
Much like other air fryer recipes, to get started you only need a few things:
- Air Fryer – there are tons to choose from! My only suggestion is to get a digital one instead of one with a dial.
- Cooking spray – use this to make sure that the corn doesn’t stick to the appliance
- Ingredients: corn on the cob, salt and pepper + any type of seasoning you want (I prefer this!)
To make it a quicker clean up, add a sheet of tin foil in between the base and the basket. It takes two seconds and makes clean up a breeze. Check out my other Air Fryer Resources and information.
This is what it looks like before you turn on the air fryer. To make sure it’s cooked evenly, flip over the corn about half way through.
How to cook corn on the cob
No matter how you cook corn on the cob, make sure to pull the husks off and pull off the threads first. Here are a few methods:
- BOIL:
Using a large pot, boil water. Place prepared corn into the pot, cover and let the water return to a boil. Then turn off the heat, but keep the pot covered. Keep in pot for 5 minutes before removing. - BAKE:
Follow my easy directions for oven baked corn on the cob. - GRILL:
Heat grill for at least 10 minutes before adding corn on the cob. Turn often for about 10 minutes, turning often until charred all over. - AIR FRY

Cut 1″ off the stem end, leave husks on, microwave about 5 minutes per ear for 1-2 ears. Using a towel or hot pad to hold the ear by the silk end, shake and squeeze the ear out of the husks. Most of the silks will slide right off as the ear of corn slides out. Easy peasy! I cook 4 ears at a time. It takes about 10 minutes for 4.
